Places Inside Dhikala Zone

1. Dhikala Tourist Complex & Dhikala Forest Rest House

The Dhikala tourist complex is the main hub inside the zone. It overlooks the Ramganga reservoir and offers a wide view of grasslands and riverbanks. The complex includes different types of forest accommodation blocks (old rest house, new rest house, hutments, annexes and dormitories - subject to current configuration and availability as per the forest department).

• Located deep inside the zone, generally reached via the Dhangarhi-Dhikala forest road.

2. Gairal Forest Rest House

• Deep forest setting near the point where the Ramganga enters the park.

3. Sarpduli Forest Rest House

Sarpduli is another important forest rest house within the Dhikala zone. It lies along the Ramganga and is known for scenic river views and forest tracts around the lodge.

4. Sultan Forest Rest House

Sultan is generally considered the smallest and one of the earlier Corbett Forest Lodges along the Dhangarhi-Dhikala route. It lies within thick forest and is often chosen by visitors seeking a quieter, basic experience.

• Dense sal forest surroundings with a secluded feel.

5. Dhikala Chaur & Phulai Chaur (Grasslands)

Dhikala Chaur is one of the major grassland areas of the zone, often visible from the watchtower and safari tracks. Nearby Phulai Chaur adds to the open habitat, which supports herbivores and rich birdlife. These grasslands form a key part of the classic Dhikala landscape.

6. Watchtower & View Points

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival & Transfer Towards Dhikala Zone

• Arrive in Ramnagar and meet our representative.

• Drive to the entry gate as per reporting time (usually Dhangarhi Gate).
• Forest drive towards your allotted forest rest house / outside stay as per permit.

Day 2 - Full Day in Dhikala Zone (Safaris & Nature Time)

• Early morning safari / drive in allocated route (as per permit & rules).
• Return for breakfast and short rest at the rest house / resort.

Day 3 - Morning Activity & Departure
